Autism and Learning Disability Training now Mandatory

Autism and learning disability training has now become mandatory, by law, for ALL regulated services, “Regulations under this section must require service providers to ensure that each person working for the purpose of the regulated activities carried on by them receives training on learning disability and autism which is appropriate to the person’s role.”  Click here to view the legislation directly.

At a national and regional level, asset based, mandatory training on learning disability and autism is required across the UK and training standards are set within the “Core Capabilities Framework for Supporting Autistic people“,  Autism Capabilities Framework published by Department of Health and Social Care.  This framework has been further enhanced by Greater Manchester’s Core Capabilities Autism Training Framework. This is to ensure suitable, and asset based, lived experience training sessions are delivered to providers, which will genuinely enhance the quality of services you provide.

Please NOTE - Every booking made will provide a parent/carer training FREE of CHARGE.
